A Winning Formula

What do you choose to see?

If you view the glass half empty, your focus will be on that which you do not have.  If you view the glass half full, you will feel grateful for that which you have.  Perspective, my friend, perspective.  It really is the key to happiness.

What glasses will you put on today?  What will you choose to see?  What will you choose to do?  Where is your focus?

From thoughts to feelings to actions, they will all react affirmatively when you stay inspired and get out in front of yourself in ways that are consistent with what you want to become.  Declare yourself to be a genius, to be an expert, to be in an atmosphere of abundance, and keep that vision so passionately that you can do nothing but act upon it.  As you do, you will send out the attraction energy that will work with you to materialize your actions based upon these stated declarations.”    -Dr. Wayne Dyer      10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace

We often become what we believe ourselves to be.  If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it.  When I believe I can, I acquire the ability to do it, even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.” -Gandhi

“No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see the possibilities always see them, for they’re always there.” – Norman Vincent Peale

“Where there is no vision the people perish.” -Proverbs 29:18

“Determine that the thing can and shall be done and then we shall find the way.” -Abraham Lincoln

A winning formula:  Vision + Action + Lots and lots of hard work = Dream Realized

  1. My sister-in-law is a great role model for positive attitudes all the time. A good influence.

  2. May I reblog?

  3. Good morning Kristin, very inspiring post this beautiful Sunday morning. I love lecturing on this topic and watching the attendees as the light clicks when the realize they to have a choice. This proverb is one of my favorites, thank you for sharing this today!

  4. Excellent!

  5. Sorry to say that I choose to see the glass as half empty – I work very hard to not think that way, but I am who I am. I will say this… Abraham Lincoln was right – people are as happy as they make their minds to be. I keep working on it…. *grumbles*.

Amen. Perspective makes all the difference in the world.

  7. Shannon says:

If my glass is half-full, I change it out for a smaller glass so that it runneth over!! Love life and everything in it. A split second (that’s all the time we’re here) is too short to get caught up in are have-nots.

  8. Pulled this from my file:
The optimist: My glass is half full
The pessimist: My glass is half empty
The salesperson: How much water would you like your glass to hold?
The accountant: Does the glass really need all that water?
The attorney: If there are enough people on one side of this issue I can file a class action suit.
The investment banker: I am only 50% leveraged
The engineer: The glass is twice as big as it needs to be
The quantum physicist: The glass has a 50% probability of holding water.
The philosopher: If nobody looks at the glass, who’s to say whether it is half full or half empty?
The politician: Let’s take a poll and then I will render my opinion as to how full or empty the glass is.
The servant leader: Whatever the amount of water, I will use it first to quench the thirst of those I lead.

  11. Hi Kristin

Thanks for visiting and liking soulsnet. I am a baby blogger (ie a beginner) and am realising that there is more to it than “the post”.

I am so glad that I found your site. It has given me much food for thought, not just in the subject matter, which very much echoes my own interests, but also in the site structure and design.

It’s not easy is it? Not only putting the material together, but also putting it together in a way that makes it accessible to the reader.

I think you have done a great job.

There is alot in your site that I know would be of interest to my readers so I hope it will be OK if I link to you occasionally. I will always acknowledge and link back to you of course.

I look forward to staying in touch.

May we all be peaceful and at ease.

    • Yes, you are correct. There is more to blogging than writing a post. Bloggers create relationships and community. I have found the blogging community to be extremely supportive. Please feel free to link to my blog and reblog anything that resonates with you. I am glad to connect here with you on WordPress.

      • Thanks Kristin. I am just beginning to realise the additional bonuses of being a blogger, totally unexpected but very welcome for all that. The sense of community and building of relationships is lovely isn’t it? We get to meet people from all over the world and share experience, strength and hope. How good is that. Likewise with my blog. Please feel free to link and reblog anything that resonates with you.

        Corinne

      • Thank you, Corinne. Have a great day!

  12. I always say I’m a glass half full kind of girl. I’d rather be happy! I’m enjoying your blog, thank you.
