Forgiveness and Letting Go

The only thing worse than someone hurting you in the past is YOU continuing to hurt you in the present and in the future.  Let go of old injuries so that you can move forward and be the person that you were created to be.

  4. Hi Kirstin

Thanks for this quote. I remember the first time I realised that I had this choice. It was like a weight had been lifted from me. I didn’t need to be a victim, I could move on. I may not have like my choices but I did have them. That’s what was liberating.

    PS
Where can I learn how to put a quote into an image????

What a great quote…thanks for sharing!
My kiddos who were severely abused as infants and toddlers, needed to reach this stage themselves. Fortunately, they have, and are able to live happy and successful lives.
    Great words of wisdom!!!

  6. It’s always an inside job, isn’t it. Love your verbiage, Kristin. ~Paul

Forgiveness is such an easy idea, but so difficult to do.
The freedom it brings is incredible, and so worth it!

  8. Kristin, thank you for stopping and liking a recent post. This post really caught my eye. I find it so hard to let go and forgive. I look forward to following what looks like an amazing blog for the person wanting to work with and on them self.

    Take care,

    Ivon

    • Letting go is one of the most difficult things anyone can do, especially if they or a loved one has been profoundly injured. But it is only through forgiveness and letting go can one move on with life. The only thing worse than someone hurting you is you continuing to hurt yourself by refusing to let go of the anger. Forgiveness is not approval. It is a gift to yourself. It leads to hope. ( I love your post on hope) Thank you for reading. Many times people who hurt others have been hurt in similar ways, but not always.
