You don’t need a dime to give the gift of kindness. A smile, a hug, a phone call, a letter, a kind act of service to show that you care. A flower, a poem, a picture, a listening ear. A shoulder to cry on, a pat on the back, a little bit of your time. Words of encouragement, words of praise, words that say, “I am thinking about you.”
Kindness can be the greatest gift of all.
Sometimes those that deserve our kindness the least, need it the most. Sometimes being kind requires us to put aside our own pride, rise above our bitterness and resentment, and be the best that we can be. Sounds difficult, I know. But what if everyone lived this way?
